Instrumental · ~4:00Suno V5.5 is a music generation model that Suno released on 26 March 2026, and it arrived alongside three features aimed at musical identity rather than raw generation: Voices, Custom models and My Taste. In the launch post Suno called it its most expressive model yet, a claim that was anchored to that date rather than to today.
That framing needs a publication date attached to it. Suno has since shipped v6, a generation released with partners including Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe, and the company states plainly that as v6 rolls out it will retire its previous models and move Suno entirely onto the v6 generation. The official pricing page on 11 September 2026 lists only v6-mini, v6 and v6-wild in its available-models row, so treat V5.5 as a previous-generation model rather than a current headline one.
This page is an independent multi-model workspace, not a Suno product. The notes below are summarised from Suno’s own blog posts, pricing page, release notes and help centre. Which fields this workspace exposes, what a run costs and how long it takes are read from the live catalogue at submit time, so treat the workspace panel as the source of truth for what you can run right now.
The capability notes below describe the model as Suno documents it. Which of these fields this site actually exposes, and what a run costs, is shown live in the workspace panel.
Describe the subject, mood, tempo, instruments and production direction in plain language and get a listenable draft back.
Switch to the custom lyrics mode, paste a lyric sheet, and mark verses, choruses and bridges so the arrangement follows your structure.
Stack genre, era, instrument, vocal and mood tags to steer the direction faster than a paragraph of loose adjectives.
Turn vocals off entirely for background beds, ambient work and concept scoring where a voice would get in the way.
Name the styles or production choices you want kept out. Treat this as a workspace input rather than a documented model control.
This workspace exposes a 10–360 second range. Confirm the live control before you submit, because parameters and defaults can change.
Describe the singer type, range, timbre, delivery and language. Capturing your own voice is an official Pro and Premier feature on suno.com, not something this workspace exposes.
Listen to the result in the browser and download the file for review before you commit more time to a direction.
Explore a rhythm and mood for a product clip or social post before you licence anything.
Build intro, outro and transition beds that match the tone of a series.
Turn a lyric idea and a style brief into a demo you can play for other people the same day.
Test the musical direction of a character, location or level before production money is committed.
Sketch a jingle or campaign theme, then keep or replace it once the creative direction settles.
Try genres and arrangements you would not normally write, and keep the takes that surprise you.
Each card states its own length target and mode so you can copy one, change a single variable and compare the results. The formula below follows the order this workspace asks for the fields in.
Workspace framework: genre + tempo or BPM + lead instruments + vocal character + song structure + mood + production style + exclusions
Modern Mandopop ballad, mid tempo, opening on warm piano and acoustic guitar. The chorus opens up with wide strings and a firm drum kit. Clear, emotional female lead vocal. Structure: verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, final chorus. The lyric is about starting over after a relationship ends. Studio-grade production with a memorable melodic hook.
A cinematic instrumental cue that opens on quiet piano and low strings, then adds horns, tuned percussion and a wide string section. The mood moves from restraint through expectation and finally release, with a natural dynamic arc and a tail that leaves room for a picture cut. No vocals anywhere in the track.
Retro-futuristic synthwave at 105 BPM with analog synth bass, pulsing arpeggios and a wide drum machine groove. The mood is a night drive through a lit-up city. The lead melody arrives at the chorus and the production stays clean with plenty of space around each part. Instrumental.
A quiet lo-fi hip hop instrumental at 72 BPM with soft jazz piano chords, rounded bass, light vinyl texture and a restrained drum loop. Written for late-night reading and focus, with an even arrangement, no dramatic climax and an ending that loops back into the beginning cleanly.
Modern alternative rock with live-feel drums and a driven electric guitar. A slightly raspy but clear male lead vocal carries the verses, the pre-chorus lifts step by step, and the final chorus opens wide. The subject is leaving a familiar city and taking the highway out.
Minimal ambient music built from slowly changing synth layers, low pulses, distant underwater texture and sparse piano notes. The feeling is the calm and the unknown of deep-sea exploration, with plenty of space and no sudden transitions. Instrumental throughout.
A half-time trap sketch at 80 BPM with deep 808 bass, tight hi-hats and a sparse piano motif. A single English vocal line repeats the hook after the drop, and the rest of the arrangement stays out of the way so a voiceover can sit on top of it later.
Six steps that take you from a rough intention to a draft you can actually evaluate and revise.
Write down whether this is a full song, a scored scene or a short hook, and the length you are aiming for. Picking that first stops you from over-writing a prompt for a fifteen-second idea.
Work through genre, tempo, instruments, vocal character, structure, mood, production and exclusions. Outlining the prompt in that order keeps the important detail out of the last sentence.
Turn vocals off if you want a soundbed. If you want singing, name the singer type, range, timbre, delivery and language instead of leaving the performance to chance.
Switch on the custom lyrics mode and mark the sections you want. Use a structure note in the description as well, so the arrangement and the words agree with each other.
Add the style tags, confirm the duration control and list what you want kept out. Read the live point estimate before you submit, because the cost depends on the parameters you set.
When you listen back, change a single variable per run — tempo, instrumentation or one section — so you can tell which edit actually improved the track.

Commercial rights on Suno attach to your subscription rather than to the model name. Suno’s help centre states that songs downloaded while subscribed are granted commercial use rights, that the free tier carries no commercial rights at all, and that granting commercial use rights does not guarantee copyright protection, because copyright qualification and protection are decided by the copyright office in your region rather than by Suno.
Voices is private by design and gated to Pro and Premier, and Suno says it plans to add voice sharing later while keeping you in control of what you create. That protection sits inside Suno’s own platform. If you upload lyrics, audio, trademarks or someone’s likeness into any tool, you remain responsible for having the right to use them.
This workspace is not part of Suno and should never be read as an official feature list. Suno’s subscription terms and commercial-use grants do not automatically extend to output produced through a third-party platform, so check this site’s terms, the model supply behind each run and the law that applies to you.
Start from a use case, a genre and a length, lay out the sections you want, then refine one variable at a time inside the live workspace.
